RCEDC began in 1983 to serve as a bridge between business and government to spur development and create new jobs. 37 years later, we invite you to celebrate the progress in Racine County, and the people and partners that got us here.

We also want to look forward, and acknowledge how all these parties are working together to navigate our future. I am Jenny Trick, Executive Director of the Racine County Economic Development Corporation, I hope you enjoy the program.

Honoring four decades of volunteer service in Racine County and adding to a seemingly endless resume of community recognition, this year’s Sam Johnson Volunteer of the Year goes to Q.A. Shakoor, II.

Development Projects of the Year

Two organizations, Sawall Development and Wangard Partners, stepped up and executed on the value they saw in Racine County, earning them the Development Projects of the Year.

This year’s Lender of the Year, Frank Sterbin, worked directly with RCEDC’s financial arm, Business Lending Partners (BLP), to facilitate low interest loans throughout Racine County.
